Pericyazine is a neuroleptic from the group of piperidine derivatives of phenothiazines, the antidopaminergic activity of which determines the development of therapeutic antipsychotic (without a stimulating component), as well as antiemetic and hypothermic effects of the drug. However, the development of its side effects (extrapyramidal syndrome, movement disorders and hyperprolactinemia) is also associated with antidopaminergic activity.
